Reducing Risk and Cost Through Early Contractor Involvement
ALBA Water & Process Solutions ( AWPS) , being an owner and operator of various water & Wastewater Treatment & Ancillaries plants globally as well as in Australia, we strongly believe that best outcomes are achieved when the end-user and technology contractor have the opportunity to collaborate and openly communicate in the development of a solution, in order to effectively balance risks, costs and the performance of the processes.
ECE provides a framework whereby end-user and AWPS collaborate in the formative stages of this project and have the opportunity to explore and challenge the projects specific variables and options and ultimately attempt to deliver an optimal balance between cost and risk if project is executed. The process and final deliverables are flexible so that Customer retains control through an iterative process and does not commit to progress or award any contract until project is defined sufficiently and Total Out-turn Cost developed for consideration.

This way we will inevitably have a deeper understanding of the solution proposed which also decreases exposure to variations and can therefore make more informed decisions as to the execution strategy should project then proceed. end-user, will own the design phase outputs and deliverables.

- Piping and Instrumentation Drawings (P&ID’s) - to fully define interfaces and used to generate the processing equipment Bill of Materials (BOM) and Total Outturn Cost (TOC)
